Polyforum Siqueiros

Short documentary on the beginning of the first phase of restoration of the Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros, a building conceived to house the mural La Marcha de la Humanidad by David Alfaro Siqueiros. It is an integral project where architectural support and pictorial layer form a single unit.

The restoration involved comparing the original project with the building inaugurated in the 1970s and with its current condition, reviewing plans, photographic archives, and construction records in order to identify modifications, losses, and accumulated damage over time.

The documentary highlights the Polyforum’s dual and singular character: a building where form, structure, and surface are inseparable.
